For youth, the best age to start lifting weights is between 9 and 14 years of age. It varies by the child and the sex of the child. Before this time it is best to use bands and bodyweight exercise. Check with your doctor to find out when it is best for your child.

For adults, yesterday is the best time to start working out. You need to progress through stages depending on your body’s ability to adapt and your health/injuries. You and I can have a discussion to decide what is best to do when and how long our should stay at a level before progressing to the next level.
